Memorial of the Battle of Waterloo. The Lion Mound is on the spot where the Prince of Orange was wounded. Discover the entire Battlefield that remained intact from the top of the hill and watch the décor of Napoleon's last battle. At the top of the 226 steps leading to the Lion Mound, 40 meters high, a cast iron Lion is installed, symbolizing victory. It has its paw set on a globe to "announce the period of rest that Europe earned on the Waterloo plains".
